Welcome back! We had a wonderful weekend with Greg’s dad and Step-Mum, we are so excited to have them back Thursday afternoon for some more adventures. We had a lovely meal out with just the grown up’s, a day of swimming fun, plus some board gaming, an art and wine festival, a walk around down-town Hudson plus Victoria and I found the most wonderful local yarn store. it was so nice to go with someone who appreciates great yarn and enjoys just browsing together. This weekend we have a day in Cleveland followed by another swim session for the girls with Dad and Grandad while we go off to Aurora for another yarn shop.
Today I have a great comparison tutorial for you. So many of you ask which heat tool you should purchase; there’s a huge variety available and whilst they are all much of a muchness I have a favourite heat tool for embossing plus I have a heat it tool that does so much more! Here is the YouTube live I filmed earlier…
As you notice I mention the Wagner heat tool ALOT, I bought this Darcies one when my Wagner one didn’t work on the lower voltage here in the USA and I have never remembered to replace it when I have an order in! I was in the middle of a video when disaster struck so a trip to Joann yielded this one, but if you are purchasing, the Wagner gives a hot and even heat, it never burnt my cardstock which this one can do if i’m not careful, it cooks my powder just right and never seemed to over cook. In fact I have just convinced myself to purchase a Wagner … order placed!
If you want to purchase your own my suggestion is Scrapbook.com as they are both on sale! Plus the distress oxides are also on sale, what a great crafty day!!
